Led Zeppelin Reunion Concert.

Led Zeppelin's one-off comeback concert, which took place to a packed house at the O2 arena in London recently, featured a stunning, transparent backdrop of Element Labs' renowned Stealth LED display technology. The Stealth LED display, supplied by rental company Creative Technology, consisted of 1,700 panels built-up to be 10 meters high and 28 meters wide. The screen backed the legendary band as a transparent, multi-functional screen totaling 280 square meters.

The band played a selection of their most famous songs in front of the massive Stealth screen, which featured straight shots of the band at first, but then exploded into psychedelic colors for 'Kashmir', noted by many attending fans as "the best received song of the evening".

Although the focus of the concert was obviously the not-to-be-underestimated band, accolades for the use of the Stealth screen have been popping up on websites and blogs everywhere. One fan's words echo the sentiment of many that were lucky enough to get hold of tickets: "The visual experience was equally phenomenal...Zep's huge screen (at least 100 feet wide) augmented a show in a way I've never seen. Bright lights, intense animation and graphics mixed with occasional images of the band as they were playing, brought the show to a spectacular level. I've seen a million shows and I really didn't think I would ever feel a buzz again like I did at this show."

The Stealth LED solution was chosen over other LED products available on the market today because not only can it compete with the best in terms of image quality (displaying incredibly smooth video that remains consistent regardless of the angle at which the display is viewed), it is also transparent, which allows the creative team to integrate the screen in different creative ways into the show.

Dave Crump of Creative Technology adds: "Medium resolution screens such as the Stealth have had an enormous impact on the live event industry over the past year. One can now easily build extra-large lightweight screens in exceedingly creative set-ups with minimal effort. We selected the Stealth LED screen because we were working against very tight load-in schedules during rehearsals, and the screen is of course renowned for its fast load-in and tear-down capabilities. The Stealth screen performed superbly and received nothing but praise from the public and industry alike."

Nils Thorjussen of Element Labs summarizes: "The Stealth display technology continues to prove itself as the preferred LED product in the live event industry. Its transparency and at the same time flawless image quality make it a screen with a lot of flexibility: it can be used as a creative transparent backdrop that is integrated into the show, or as an i-mag screen to show the performers in action. Previously one needed two different screens to do this; with Stealth one can achieve both goals with one screen. Couple that with the fact that you can build-up and tear-down the screen in a fraction of the time it usually takes to dismantle behemoth screens such as this, and the Stealth screen becomes the ideal LED technology for the touring world."
